gay marriage rant

i'm disgusted by the homophobic groups that are on facebook (had a good laugh at the godbotherer's comments though). i'm gay (used to think i was bi, but now i'm pretty sure i'm gay. i've had a lot of confusion and self-loathing in my life ,due to being born into a very homophobic family),but i'm against gay marriage (though for different reasons obviously. the whole adam and steve slogan is stupid. adam and eve didn't exist anyway, the idea that two people can begat an entire species is fucking absurd).

what is it about god bothers and gay people? leave us alone! sexual orientation is not a choice. you're born into it. i've noticed that people who say otherwise tend to be straight homophobes.

i'm against gay marriage because it's putting hetero norms onto gay people. why should gay,bi and lesbian people ( i would say LGBT, but i've allways wondered why transexuals are included there. it's not a sexuality is it? you get gay and straight transgendered people don't you?)applied to them? gay couples should find their own identities.gay couples should have the same rights as straights anyway.hetrosexuality is not the blanket norm. we still live in a heteronormative, phallocentric society, although it's a lot better then it was, obviously. to be honest i'm not in favour of the idea of marriage, as it's patriarchal and is essentially you asking the state (which shouldn't be there in the first place) to accept your relationship and to have special rights just because you've found your "life partner"(i hate that phrase).

one day i hope to find someone and live with him for the rest of my life. and i don't need a stupid piece of paper. if other people want to marry that's their buisness and i'm not going to pick on them ( my parents are married) and i hope they are happy. I just thinks it's an absurd institution and a symbol of theological and statist control.

*whew*

that was a rant wan't it? blimey!
